Brand Elevation
BACKGROUND
Abode is one of the largest property lettings agencies in Bristol.
Strong initial brand creation had been diluted over the years, their original proposition crafted to target the young professional and discerning student markets had quietly slipped to become too ‘friendly’ with too much focus on the low-end student market, this was at the expense of their landlord client base. Current brand perceptions were ‘dated’, ‘wordy’ and average.
They recognised the need to elevate their brand, redress the balance, focus on upmarket professionals to regain credibility with the large scale landlords and developers, without losing their personality.

CONCEPT
Signature typography was refined with one of its main changes being the introduction of the capital ‘A’ (signally that Abode has ‘grown up’). Along side this cornerstone of the brand identity, we formulated a library of background wallpapers to provide a sophisticated homely touch and a link to the company’s roots.
LITERATURE DESIGN
New illustrations coupled with location photography helped create a unique fresh approach for the direction of literature, this was picked up through the website too.
