Home London 2013

January 2013

Exhibitors include the likes of Alessi, Coach House, LSA International, 95%, Design House Stockholm, Koziol, black+blum, Content by Conran and Eva Solo to name but a few.

Below are some of our own highlights of the show we took in on Monday 14th January 2013, the people and the products we saw and liked.

Jessica Hogarth Designs

Thank you to Katie Treggiden: Confessions of a design geek (COADG) bursary that launched this year at Home London, which helps to showcase five up and coming designer/makers. We were pleased to be able to stop by and congratulate the winner Jessica Hogarth of Jessica Hogarth Designs, here is a talent to watch.

Psalt Design

Along side her, as part of the runners up at COADG Bursary stand, were the guys from PsaltDesign with their Atlas Bench, lovely to meet up with boys behind the Atlas bench, we look forward to the development of the full range to compliment the bench; and continue to follow you via twitter.

Mode

We applauded Keith at Mode for the slick stand, though we had to agree that it did feel particularly monochromatic. A good injection of colour would probably broadedn their offer to a wder audience, and we look forward to seeing their devlopments next year.

Green and Blue

Inspired by their location in Cornwall, we felt at right at home amongst their beautiful product, many inspired by and made for birds. We found product designers Green and Blue in the Homegrown section of Home London and were really taken by their simple, beautiful and sometimes whimsical objects.

Mini Moderns

It was good to meet fellow designers with similar agency backgrounds to ourselves – Keith Stephenson and Mark Hampshire, who have carved out a strong following with a interiors brand called Mini Moderns over the past six years, specialising in applied pattern across a range of products including wallpapers, fabrics, cushions, rugs and ceramics. We were impressed with their energy and warmth, their stand, both in execution and scale was unique and allowed easy customer engagement. We loved the product range, thanks for the newspaper and bags! Keep tweeting.

Content by Conran

Sir Terence Conran's relaxed and informal British furniture range for contemporary living is always easy on the eye. Last year's new range called Balance shelving from Content by Conran caught our eye on their stand this year, as we have a need for open shelving to help divide our studio, for those branding workshops, we have taken measurements and will be following up soon.
